Through Policy Café and Sewa Forum, we connect real-world service to the conversations and policy decisions that shape stronger communities.
Causes Advocacy and Policy

Policy Cafe

Policy Café is Sewa's virtual dialogue platform, where the wisdom of grassroots service meets the world of policy. It brings together experts, practitioners, and civic leaders from across sectors for candid, meaningful conversations on the issues that shape community well-being — from bridging the after-school divide and ageing with dignity, to ending hunger and reimagining how nonprofits work. By connecting real-world experience with systems-level thinking, Policy Café turns lived insight into actionable ideas that inform inclusive, impact-driven policymaking across the United States.

Sewa Forum

Sewa Forum is Sewa's annual two-day gathering to celebrate, strengthen, and reimagine the power of sewa — selfless service. Each year it convenes 20+ experts and 100+ stakeholders around four themes that spell out our name: Service (fundraising resilience and nonprofit sustainability), Education (youth empowerment, job readiness, and digital opportunity), Wellbeing (medical volunteerism, healthcare access, and community-based care), and Action Systems (reimagining service in the age of AI). More than a conference, the Forum is a working space for dialogue, collaboration, and action — where the people who power service come together to shape its future.
